Former House Of Reps Member Dies In His Sleep: A former member of the House of Representatives,  Alli Adebayo Balogun Sarumi, has passed away in his sleep, Nigeria’s burgeoning online news platform, NewsOne Nigeria understands.

NewsOne Nigeria reports that the House Of Reps member died in his sleep on Tuesday morning, February 18 in Ibadan, Oyo State, southwest Nigeria at the age of 81.

This burgeoning online news platform understands that late Sarumi was buried at his residence Bashorun on Tuesday according to Islamic rites.

The daughter of the deceased Bolanle Sarumi-Aliyu confirmed the death of the politician.

NewsOne Nigeria recalls that late Sarumi represented Ibadan North Federal Constituency between 1999 and 2003 on the platform of the Alliance for Democracy (AD) but after the expiration of his tenure in the House of Reps, the well-cultured Sarumi slugged it out with Senator Abiola Ajimobi at the Oyo South Senatorial election.

The daughter of the deceased, who is the gubernatorial candidate of the National Interest Party (NIP), during the 2019 general elections in Oyo state, said that “I lost my dad this morning. The famous Alli Bay Batashi is gone, Sarumi Dikaka Dikuku.”

Sarumi-Aliyu said the deceased died leaving behind 10 children and 20 grandchildren even as she concluded that the 8th-day Fidau prayers will hold at his No 3, Omo Oyin Way, Orita Bashorun, Ibadan home on February, 25.
