Media personality, Sola Adeyemo has said that it feels as though there’s no government in Nigeria at the moment and the nation is gradually breaking down under Buhari government, CityNews Nigeria reports.
Adeyemo who spoke to the publisher of the Editor Nigeria shortly after a protester was shot dead in Surulere said ”Nigeria is fast collapsing under this administration and if the government of the day fails to do the needful, I’m afraid there’s even greater danger lurking in the corner”.
Speaking further during the telephone interview, the media practitioner described the state of the nation as ”appalling and nothing to write home about since the beginning of the Covid-19 lockdown, look at the many issues being faced without any meaningful headway… ASUU, fuel and electricity hike, now SARS.”
He said; ”remember I did a video during the lockdown condemning the lukewarm attitude of this government to the plight of the people, here we are again, terrible”.
Adeyemo however cautioned Nigerians against any act of vandalism as they go about demanding police reform which is long overdue.
And in a related development, news just filtered in that the Lagos State Chief Executive, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, was some minutes ago openly disgraced by angry protesters at Surulere as he was addressing ##ENDSARSProtesters.
