BREAKING: INEC Declares APC's Bola Tinubu Nigeria's President-Elect

Bola Tinubu.

Tinubu has tabled a fresh demand before APC over Presidential Primary Election.

Newsone reports that 2023 presidential aspirant, Bola Tinubu has kicked against talks of consensus in picking the flag bearer for the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nigeria’s ruling party.

“I want democracy; I am voting for democracy, One man, one vote,” Mr Tinubu said in response to questions about consensus arrangements while interacting with party delegates in Taraba on Sunday, May 8, 2022.

The former Lagos governor said his “chances of winning the ticket are incredibly high” if a democratic process was followed due to his high political pedigree.

“I am very confident,” he stressed. “I am sure I can, and I will win it.”

Meanwhile, Newsone Nigeria reports that scores of top contenders including Nigeria’s Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Minister of Labour and Employment Chris Ngige, Transport Minister Rotimi Amaechi, Ebonyi Governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State, Kogi Governor Yahaya Bello among others are in the race to win the coveted APC Presidential ticket.
