The Emir of Rano is dead and the cause of Emir of Rano death has been revealed.

NewsOne Nigeria reports that the Emir of Rano in Kano State, northern Nigeria, Alhaji Tafida Abubakar Ila II, has passed away on Saturday, May 2 at a hospital in Kano at the age of 74.

Cause of Emir Of Rano Death

The Turakin Rano and House of Representatives Member of Rano, Kibiya and Bunkure, Alhaji Kabir Alhassan Rururm confirmed the death of the Emir. He said the late emir would be buried this evening in the emirate. He died after a brief illness.

This reliable online news platform understands that the late Emir of Rano was survived by two wives and seventeen (17) children.

How Emir of Rano died

Reports emerged earlier today that the Emir of Rano was hospitalised, at the Amin Kano Teaching Hospital, before been referred to Nasarawa specialist Hospital. The reports did not state whether his illness was COVID-19 related.

Rano Emirate Council is one of the four newly created emirates in Kano state, northern Nigeria. The late Alhaji Tafida Abubakar Ila II headed the emirate as the Emir of Rano.
