Newsone Nigeria reports that the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has officially released the complete schedule, portal link, and step-by-step instructions for the upcoming 2025 Computer-Based Test (CBT). This guide provides all the essential details candidates need to successfully log in, take the test, and comply with examination rules.

CDCFIB 2025 CBT Exam Date and Time

  • Exam Date: Wednesday, 12th November 2025
  • Start Time: 9:00 AM (WAT) sharp
  • Access: Only scheduled candidates will be able to log in to the exam portal.
  • Login Access Time: The portal opens 30 minutes before each candidate’s slot.

Candidates are strongly advised to be online and ready at least 30 minutes before their scheduled time. Once the exam begins, late access will not be granted.

How to Access the CDCFIB 2025 CBT Exam

Follow these steps carefully to log in and take your test:

  1. Visit the official CDCFIB recruitment portal:
    https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng
  2. Log in with your registered email address and password.
  3. Once logged in, you’ll see your scheduled exam slot and the exam window option.
  4. Complete photo verification as prompted by the system.
  5. Wait patiently in the virtual waiting room until the exam starts automatically.

Note: The exam portal will automatically lock once your slot time ends. Ensure you are logged in early and ready.

Device Requirements and Technical Rules

To ensure a smooth test experience, CDCFIB recommends that candidates prepare their devices ahead of time.

Allowed Devices:

  • Laptop (Preferred)
  • Mobile phone or tablet (Allowed but not ideal for performance-based questions)

Device and Environment Rules:

  • Ensure stable electricity and reliable internet connection throughout the test.
  • Do not switch between applications or open multiple tabs.
  • Avoid receiving calls, screen-sharing, or using external tools while the test is active.
  • Use a quiet and well-lit environment for face verification.

AI Proctoring and Monitoring

The 2025 CDCFIB CBT will be monitored using AI-based proctoring technology. This system tracks your camera feed and screen activity in real time to ensure exam integrity.

Important AI Proctoring Rules:

  • Your camera and microphone must remain on throughout the test.
  • The system continuously monitors movements, faces, and background noise.
  • Any suspicious behavior (such as looking away frequently, switching tabs, or multiple faces on screen) will trigger a violation.
  • Violations lead to automatic disqualification.

If you experience an internet interruption, rejoin the session immediately within your allotted time to resume your test. The system will allow reconnection within your slot duration.

Malpractice Policy

The CDCFIB has declared a zero-tolerance policy toward examination malpractice. All candidates are expected to maintain honesty, discipline, and full compliance with exam rules.

Grounds for Disqualification:

  • Attempting to cheat or use external assistance.
  • Impersonation or logging in with another candidate’s credentials.
  • Switching browser tabs or applications during the test.
  • Using third-party software, VPNs, or remote access tools.
  • Disconnecting multiple times or manipulating the test environment.

Any candidate found guilty of malpractice will face immediate disqualification and may be barred from future recruitment exercises conducted by the Board.

Key Takeaways for CDCFIB 2025 Candidates

  • Be online 30 minutes before your slot.
  • Use a laptop for the best experience.
  • Keep your camera and microphone on at all times.
  • Avoid switching apps or opening other tabs.
  • Follow every instruction displayed on the exam dashboard.
  • If disconnected, reconnect quickly and resume the test.
  • No cheating, impersonation, or external help will be tolerated.
