Nigerians have taken to the micro-blogging site, Twitter to berate Aisha Buhari, Nigeria’s First Lady, describing her as a “very selfish” human being.

YaahooJournalist reports that Nigerians made these comments in response to Aisha’s latest outcry of the Presidency’s failure to recognise her as the “First Lady.”

This online news platform had reported earlier that the First Lady accused her husband’s nephew, Mamman Daura, of giving a presidential directive without the President’s knowledge.

Mrs. Buhari accused Daura of issuing a directive to one of Buhari’s media aides, Garba Shehu, not to recognise her office.

Naija News reports that Aisha berated Daura and Shehu in a statement she sent to Daily Trust on Wednesday, December 11.

“Nigeria’s development is hinged on the ability of public officials to execute their mandates professionally, and to be shining examples in their various areas of endeavor. It is not a good sign when officials abandoned their responsibility and start clutching at straws,” the first lady wrote.

“As spokesperson of the President, he has the onerous responsibility of managing the image of the President and all the good works that he is executing in the country. Rather than face this responsibility squarely, he has shifted his loyalty from the President to others who have no stake in the compact that the President signed with Nigerians on May 29, 2015, and 2019,” Mrs. Buhari said in a statement.

However, apparently displeased with her latest rant, Nigerians took to Twitter to call the First Lady out, describing her as a selfish woman.
