Buhari Govt Approves $5.3bn For Ibadan-Kano Rail Project

The Federal Government led by President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the construction of the $5.3bn Ibadan to Kano standard gauge rail line project.

YaahooJournalist reports that the Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, made this known on Thursday, September 12, at the third Maritime Stakeholders Interactive Forum.

The minister said: “Just yesterday, we got approval to complete the $5.3bn Ibadan to Kano rail project.

“We have also applied for funding to commence coastal rail for the Port Harcourt to Warri segment.”
