Nigeria Records 20 Fresh Coronavirus Cases, See Affected States
Nigeria has recorded 20 fresh Coronavirus Cases, with COVID-19 in Nigeria rising to 131 cases.
Newsone Nigeria reports that the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirmed the 20 fresh COVID-19 cases in a tweet on the micro-blogging site, Twitter on Monday evening, March 30.
This burgeoning online news understands that of the twenty coronavirus cases recorded by Nigeria and confirmed on Monday evening by the NCDC, thirteen were detected in Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial city, four in Abuja, two in Kaduna and one in Oyo State, Southwest Nigeria.
Newsone Nigeria reports that 20 fresh coronavirus cases recorded by the NCDC, means that the number of cases of coronavirus in Nigeria has risen from one hundred and eleven (111) to one hundred and thirty-one (131).
The NCDC tweeted: “Twenty new cases of #COVID19 have been reported in Nigeria; 13 in Lagos, 4 in FCT, 2 in Kaduna and 1 in Oyo State As at 09:00 pm 30th March there are 131 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria with 2 deaths.

Meanwhile, this is coming after Newsone Nigeria had earlier reported that Seyi Makinde, the governor of Oyo State, southwest Nigeria, tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19).
The Oyo State Governor announced his coronavirus status in a tweet on the micro-blogging site, Twitter on Monday evening, March 30.
“I just received my COVID-19 confirmation test result. It is POSITIVE. I am asymptomatic and will continue to self-isolate.
“I have designated Prof Temitope Alonge, former Chief Medical Director of the University College, Ibadan, as the Head of COVID-19 Task Force while I recover fully. Please continue to comply with all the directives from the COVID-19 Task Force. Stay home, stay safe,” Governor Makinde tweeted.

Earlier today, the Nigerian Government led by President Muhammadu Buhari confirmed the second coronavirus death in the country.
