BREAKING: Nigerian Security Agents Invade CBN Governor Emefiele Home

Nigerian Security Agents have invaded CBN Governor Emefiele home.

Newsone reports that a team of heavily armed police officers has laid a siege on the Maitama home of the Central Bank Governor, Godwin Emefiele, in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.

This online news platform understands that the officers numbering over 10, were spotted around the building at about 8:40 pm, on Tuesday night, January 17, 2023, at the No. 8 Colorado Street, Maitama, Abuja home of the embattled governor of the apex bank.

A report monitored on PUNCH by Newsone Nigeria says the siegeCBN Governor Emefiele home was in furtherance to Emefiele’s expected appearance at the Federal High Court in Abuja tomorrow, Wednesday, over a $53 million judgment debt arising from the Paris Club refund.

“The police officers are not there to arrest, but they’re there to ensure that he doesn’t run away again as he did weeks ago.”

Meanwhile, the report added that force PRO, CSP Muyiwa Adejobi when asked about the development noted that he is not aware of such development.
