Newsone Nigeria reports that the Supreme Court of Nigeria has affirmed the election of the Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nigeria’s ruling political party.
In a unanimous judgment on Friday, 19 January 2024, a five-member panel of the Supreme Court dismissed the appellant by the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the last governorship election, Bande Aminu.
Justice Uwani Abba-Aji, who read the lead judgment, held that the appeal was without merit.
