Fulani Herdsmen Storm Igbariam In Anambra, Kill Children, Women (Video)

Fulani herdsmen have stormed Igbariam in Anambra, killing children and women.

NewsOne Nigeria reports that videos have emerged on the micro-blogging site, Twitter, showing lifeless bodies of mainly children and women on the streets in Igbariam, a town in Anambra state, southeast Nigeria.

Though, this online news platform could not, at the time of this report, confirm if the attacks on the women and children, were carried out by Fulani herdsmen, videos circulated on Twitter by Twitter users, show a group of supposed Fulani herdsmen who reportedly carried out the attack, walking on the streets with weapons.

The videos published on Twitter by several users, had captions claiming that the Fulani herdsmen are invading houses in the community, killing as many as they could find in each compound.

A twitter user by name Chuks, who uploaded one of the videos, captioned it: “Here’s a video to confirm the Ongoing Slaughter by killer Fulani Herdsmen in Igbariam, Anambra State.

“These are Armed Fulani Herdsmen going about the area Slaughtering Innocent People. There is serious tension right now.”

Meanwhile, as at the time of filing this report, the Anambra State Police Command was yet to release a statement regarding the purported attack by the Fulani herdsmen.
