President Tinubu Sacks NDRBDA and NESREA MDs, Appoints New Heads [FULL LIST]

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has made a new appointment.

Newsone reports that Nigeria’s President Bola Tinubu on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, ordered the Director-General and CEO of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), Aliyu Abubakar Aziz, to commence a 90-day pre-retirement leave.

This online news platform understands that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s directive takes effect on August 24, 2023, leading to Aziz’s eventual retirement from service on November 24, 2023.

Newsone Nigeria reports that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s directive was contained in a statement signed by presidential spokesperson Ajure Ngelale.

President Tinubu has also approved the appointment of Bisoye Coker-Odusote as the acting Director-General and CEO of NIMC for a 90-day period. His appointment takes effect on August 24, 2023, after which a full term of four years will begin as the substantive NIMC Director-General/CEO on November 24, 2023.

Furthermore, The Nigerian President approved the appointment of Hon. Yusuf Buba Yakub as the Director and CEO of the Directorate of Technical Aid Corps (DTAC).

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s new appointment follows the recent expiration of the tenure of the former DTAC Director and CEO, Dr Pius Osunyikanmi. This appointment takes immediate effect.
