Vice President Yemi Osinba and President Muhammadu Buhari.

FG has taken a major decision on #LekkiMassacre.

Newsone Nigeria had reported earlier soldiers of the Nigerian Army opened fire on peaceful #EndSARS protesters camping at Lekki toll gate in Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial city.

The attack on the #EndSARS protesters in its wake, left “several” protesters dead and others injured according to videos published on Twitter by eyewitnesses. After the attack by the soldiers, the photos of the four Nigerians killed by soldiers at the Lekki toll gate  emerged.

Hours after the attack, the Federal Government through the Vice President Yemi Osinbajo promised to get justice for all of the victims.

The Vice President said his heart goes out to victims of the Lekki shooting and other men and women who lost their lives during the #EndSARS protests in Lagos and other states in what is the first reaction from the presidency in over 24 hours after the shooting of peaceful protesters.

Osinbajo promised in a series of tweets via his Twitter handle late Wednesday night, that the FG would get justice for all of the victims.

The Vice President, acting on behalf of the FG, prayed that the nation would never see a repeat of these unfortunate incidents.

“My heart goes out to all the victims of the Lekki shootings, and also the policemen and all other men and women who lost their lives in the past few days in different parts of Lagos & other states,” Osinbajo tweeted.

“I spoke to some of those in hospital. The pain of these terrible events is palpable in our towns and cities, and some losses are irreplaceable, but we can and will get justice for all of them.
I stand with Lagos & all other affected states in these trying times.

“We pray we will never see a repeat of these tragedies in Jesus name. God bless you all,” the vice president  said.

My heart goes out to all the victims of the Lekki shootings, and also the policemen and all other men and women who lost their lives in the past few days in different parts of Lagos & other states.
