Bola Tinubu has been spotted welcoming Atiku back at night.
Newsone reports that a video has emerged on the micro-blogging site, Twitter, showing the moment the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nigeria’s ruling party, Bola Tinubu, welcomed Atiku Abubakar, a former Vice President of Nigeria and chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Nigeria’s main opposition party.
This online news platform understands that Tinubu welcomed Atiku back to Nigeria after spending almost a year in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), following his defeat to President Muhammadu Buhari at the 2019 Presidential election in Nigeria.
Newsone Nigeria reports that the meeting between Tinubu and Atiku is coming at a time some Nigerian politicians have started making moves ahead of the 2023 Presidential election by crossing carpets (defecting from one political party to another).
Though Bola Tinubu is yet to declare his intentions for the 2023 general elections, Newsone reports that his body language suggests that the former Lagos State Governor will run for the number one political office in Nigeria.
Like Tinubu, Atiku who was the 2019 Presidential candidate of the PDP, is also expected to seek another chance to become Nigeria’s President when the 2023 Presidential election takes centre stage.
