Nigerians have taken to the micro-blogging site, Twitter to berate Aisha Buhari, Nigeria’s First Lady, describing her as a “very selfish” human being.

YaahooJournalist reports that Nigerians made these comments in response to Aisha’s latest outcry of the Presidency’s failure to recognise her as the “First Lady.”

This online news platform had reported earlier that the First Lady accused her husband’s nephew, Mamman Daura, of giving a presidential directive without the President’s knowledge.

Mrs. Buhari accused Daura of issuing a directive to one of Buhari’s media aides, Garba Shehu, not to recognise her office.

Naija News reports that Aisha berated Daura and Shehu in a statement she sent to Daily Trust on Wednesday, December 11.

“Nigeria’s development is hinged on the ability of public officials to execute their mandates professionally, and to be shining examples in their various areas of endeavor. It is not a good sign when officials abandoned their responsibility and start clutching at straws,” the first lady wrote.

“As spokesperson of the President, he has the onerous responsibility of managing the image of the President and all the good works that he is executing in the country. Rather than face this responsibility squarely, he has shifted his loyalty from the President to others who have no stake in the compact that the President signed with Nigerians on May 29, 2015, and 2019,” Mrs. Buhari said in a statement.

However, apparently displeased with her latest rant, Nigerians took to Twitter to call the First Lady out, describing her as a selfish woman.

YaahooJournalist captured some of the reactions below…

Aisha Buhari is just one selfish woman who only cries out when family issues in Aso Rock doesn’t favour her. I felt bad when Major General Buhari said she’s only fit for the other room, but I now see they deserve each other.

Aisha Buhari and Madman Daura are typical example of public yard quarrels. Fighting over trivialities. The one thing that is certain now though is that Aisha Buhari is the most conceited, Selfish and Manipulative first lady this country has ever seen.

She supported Yeye Bello & apologized for his failings, okays #SocialMediaBill, but whenever she’s ridiculed or have issues with her selfish interest she runs to the media. Aisha Buhari, even when mamman Daura & Garba Shehu spit on your face, we won’t take you serious. Go to hell

She’s beyond selfish. Aisha Buhari is the sort of person that’ll unplug someone’s life support machine in order to charge her phone. https://t.co/V1K5oTOLtF

I opened this, hoping that Aisha Buhari attacked them for poor governance, record high food inflation, security/unemployment. Guess what? She’s fighting for ‘first lady’ title. Absolutely selfish, insensitive and ridiculous. Get your family fight off here https://t.co/h8jRsbiMy4

Aisha Buhari is Very Selfish. Only talks when her ego, office, or self worth is slightly attacked. When it comes to pressing matters of state, she’s either mum or just plain like the rest of them.

If you observe this woman closely you’ll realize she’s as selfish as selfish can be.

Don’t be deceived into thinking she has the country’s best interest at hearthttps://t.co/1wgRUYJq1y
