Goodluck Jonathan Tables Fresh Request Before President Buhari

Goodluck Jonathan, a former Nigerian President, has told President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration what to do to attackers of his him in Otuoke, Bayelsa State.

YaahooJournalist recalls that Jonathan’s residence in his home town was attacked by unknown gunmen in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

It was learned that the gunmen who came in about five engine boats stormed the security post located about 100 metres away from Jonathan’s residence in his hometown Otuoke by 1:30 am on Tuesday.

The gunmen attempted to take away a gunboat belonging to the military stationed at the creek close to the residence but were resisted by soldiers to engage them in a fierce fight.

Reacting to the attack, Jonathan called on the Buhari government to arrest and prosecute the gunmen.

The former President made the call while conducting sympathizers around the scene of the attack on Friday.

Jonathan praised men of the Nigerian military for successfully repelling the attack of the gunmen in a fierce gun duel.

The former President revealed that since the attack on the security post close to his home many Nigerians including President Buhari, state Governors and political party leaders as well as foreigners had either visited him or called to express their heartfelt sympathy over the unfortunate attack in his house.

Jonathan further called on security operatives to arrest and prosecute the gunmen as a means of ensuring that such an attack does not happen again in his community or any other place.
