ISWAP: Muslims Against Killing Of Christians – Shehu Sani
Shehu Sani, a former Senator who represented Kaduna Central during the 8th Nigerian Senate, has condemned the killing of Christians by members of the Islamic State in West Africa (ISWAP).
YaahooJournalist reports that members of ISWAP on Christmas day executed eleven captives, most of whom were Christians.
Ahmad Salkida, a journalist renowned for monitoring terrorist activities, disclosed this development.
YaahooJournalist recalls that some of the victims abducted by the terrorist group appealed to President Muhammadu Buhari and the Christian Association of Nigeria to rescue them.
Salkida while reporting the incident wrote: “The terrorist group claimed that they spared the lives of two persons that appeared in the earlier video, but did not give their names.”
“However, a careful assessment of the video revealed that Suwaiba Kashimu from Nasarawa state, and one other male, were apparently not amongst those killed on Christmas.”
Reacting to the attack in a post on the micro-blogging site, Twitter, Senator Sani said that the murderous conducts of IS do not portray the ideology and thoughts of Muslims.
His words, “IS conduct is neither accepted nor consented by the overwhelming majority of Muslims and their thoughts and ideology are not representative of Islam.
“There should be a united front of people of all faiths in loudly denouncing their recent murderous act.”
