Gunmen Kidnap Atiku’s Mother In Delta State

Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have reportedly kidnapped Madam Angelina Atiku, mother of a bank manager, Philip Atiku.

YaahooJournalist reports that Atiku’s mother was kidnapped, in Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State, southeast Nigeria.

Onome Onovwakpoyeya, the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed the incident to The PUNCH on Tuesday.

YaahooJournalist learned that the 65-year-old mother of the bank manager was reportedly kidnapped at her Oguname-Olomu residence in Ughelli on Sunday about 8 pm.

When contacted the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer said, “Yes, it is confirmed.”

The state Commissioner of Police, Hafiz Mohammed Inuwu, also confirmed the incident when contacted.

“The police are aware of the matter. I heard about it and we are doing something to ensure that she is rescued soonest,” he added.
