PAP was introduced in 2009 as part of the conditions reached between the Federal Government and ex-militants who surrendered their weapons to embrace the amnesty offered by the late President Umaru Musa YarAdua.

6. Presidential Candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Tinubu has described the Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki as a nitwit and a misfit for the office he currently occupies. Tinubu was reacting to comments by Obaseki that Nigeria would break up should the APC win the next presidential election.

7. Ahead of the 2023 elections, a Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt has nullified all primary elections conducted by the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State over the unlawful exclusion of some party members as delegates to the primaries.

8. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has fixed November 11, 2023, for the conduct of Bayelsa, Imo and Kogi governorship elections. National Commissioner and Chairman, Information and Voter Education Committee, of INEC, Festus Okoye, disclosed this on Tuesday evening.

The Peter Obi Presidential Campaign Organisation, yesterday, appealed to Nigerians to reject those who are planning to rule the country by proxy, saying that Nigerians can no longer tolerate turning governance into family and friends business. This was in reaction to the challenge thrown to the Labour Party Presidential Candidate, Peter Obi by Festus Keyamo for his son to organise a campaign rally in Anambra like Seyi Tinubu, APC flagbearer’s son, did for his father.
