Nigeria’s Yemi Alade has signed a licencing deal with Universal Music France and Universal Music Africa.

YaahooJournalist reports that Yemi Alade disclosed this the licencing deal with Universal Music France and Universal Music Africa on social media network, Instagram on Monday.

In one of her posts, Yemi Alade wrote: “MY GOD IS ALWAYS ON TIME 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿@universalmusicafrica / @universalmusicfrance signs Licencing Deal with @effyzziemusicgroup for #Nigerian superstar @yemialade.”

YaahooJournalist understands that the development is coming after Yemi Alade featured on Beyonce’s album, The Lion King: The Gift and also became the first African female artist to reach one million subscribers on YouTube in July.

The deal means that under the multi-year agreement, UMA will serve as the exclusive worldwide recorded music partner for Yemi Alade and her label Effyzzie Music Group, and UMF will serve as the international roll-out partner for the project.

Meanwhile, Yemi Alade’s deal is coming after Tiwa Savage who left Mavin Records after seven years with them, signed a record deal with US-based Universal Music Group earlier this year.
