Nigeria has recorded new COVID-19 cases with the NCDC announcing 64 new cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria.

Newsone Nigeria reports that the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirmed 64 new COVID-19 cases in a tweet on the micro-blogging site, Twitter on Monday evening, April 27.

This burgeoning online news platform understands that the NCDC noted that of the 64 COVID-19 cases recorded on Monday evening, 34 were detected in Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial city, 15-FCT 11-Borno 2-Taraba 2-Gombe, northern Nigeria

The NCDC tweeted: 64 new cases of #COVID19 reported; 34-Lagos 15-FCT 11-Borno 2-Taraba 2-Gombe As at 11:20 pm 27th April- 1337 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria. Discharged: 255 Deaths: 40.


One case previously reported as a Lagos State case is now reported as an FCT case The total number of confirmed cases in Lagos is now at 764 and 157 in FCT,″ the tweet added.

Meanwhile, Newsone Nigeria reports that the development means that Nigeria’s total confirmed cases of coronavirus have risen to One thousand and three hundred and thirty-seven (1337) with two hundred and fifty-five (255) people discharged and forty (40) deaths recorded so far.
