Nigeria has recorded new COVID-19 cases with the NCDC announcing 216 new cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria.
Newsone Nigeria reports that the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirmed 216 new COVID-19 cases in a tweet on the micro-blogging site, Twitter on Monday evening, May 18.
This burgeoning online news platform understands that the NCDC noted that of the 216 COVID-19 cases recorded on Monday evening, 74 were detected in Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial city, 33-Katsina 19-Oyo 17-Kano 13-Edo 10-Zamfara 8-Ogun 8-Gombe 8-Borno 7-Bauchi 7-Kwara 4-FCT 3-Kaduna 3-Enugu 2-Rivers, south-south Nigeria.
The NCDC tweeted: “216 new cases of #COVID19; 74-Lagos 33-Katsina 19-Oyo 17-Kano 13-Edo 10-Zamfara 8-Ogun 8-Gombe 8-Borno 7-Bauchi 7-Kwara 4-FCT 3-Kaduna 3-Enugu 2-Rivers 6175 cases of #COVID19 in Nigeria Discharged: 1644 Deaths: 191,” the tweet added.

Meanwhile, Newsone Nigeria reports that the development means that Nigeria’s total confirmed cases of coronavirus have risen to six thousand, one hundred and seventy-five (6175) with one thousand, six hundred and forty-four (1644) people discharged and one hundred and ninety-one (191) deaths recorded so far.
