BREAKING: Finally, Port Harcourt Refinery Commences Crude Oil Production

Port Harcourt Refinery has commenced crude oil production.

Newsone Nigeria reports that Port Harcourt Refinery owned by the Federal Government of Nigeria, has commenced processing crude oil production.

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited spokesperson, Olufemi Soneye, who disclosed this on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, said the refinery has kicked off with 60 percent capacity.

According to him, the refinery processes 60,000 barrels of crude oil daily. The Port Harcourt refinery has a combined 250 barrels per day capacity.

Meanwhile, Newsone reports that the commencement of crude oil production at the refinery is coming after several failed commencement deadlines.
