The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has debunked reports suggesting that the 2025 Direct Entry registration exercise will close on Monday, April 7.
The board clarified that the registration process remains open until an official closing date is announced.
In a statement issued on Saturday by JAMB’s Public Communication Advisor, Fabian Benjamin, the board emphasised that it had deliberately liberalised the registration period to accommodate ongoing investigations into candidates suspected of presenting fraudulent A-Level results.
“The Board is currently investigating some candidates who were caught attempting to register with fake A-Level results. Therefore, no deadline has been announced yet for the DE registration. The registration is still ongoing,” the statement read.
UTME 2025: JAMB says Mock exam slip now available for printing
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that candidates registered for the 2025 Mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) can now print their notification slips.
In a statement issued on Thursday and signed by the Board’s spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, JAMB said the slips reveal the date and venue of the Mock examination to the candidates.
The Board encouraged candidates to print their notification slips starting from Thursday, 3 April, to allow ample time for necessary preparations.
“This Notification Slip includes crucial information such as the examination date, venue (centre), time, and other essential details needed to successfully sit for the examination,” the statement reads in part.
JAMB opens portal for 2025 UTME-mock exam slip printing
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has announced that candidates who registered to participate in the 2025 optional UTME-Mock examination can now print their notification slips.
JAMB’s Public Communication Advisor, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, in a statement, said candidates can print their slips from today.
Benjamin stated that the UTME-Mock Examination will be held on Thursday, April 10, while the main UTME Examination will start on Friday, April 25.
The notification slip contains vital details, including the examination date, venue (centre), time, and other essential instructions necessary for candidates to successfully sit for the test.
He urged candidates to visit www.jamb.gov.ng, click on “2025 Mock Slip Printing”, enter the registration number and click on “Print Examination Slip.”
He added that candidates are strongly advised to print their slips and visit their assigned examination centres at least a day or two before the test to avoid last-minute challenges.

You need to get a few things ready and at your fingertips before checking your JAMB score.

- Send “RETRIEVE” to 55019 using your registered phone number (₦50 SMS fee applies).
- Or, go to the JAMB portal and click “Forgot Password” to reset your login.
- If you still can’t access your details, reach out to JAMB support for help.
- Your JAMB profile code: The JAMB profile code is a unique 10-digit number generated by JAMB for each candidate after sending your NIN to the JAMB shortcode 55019 or 66019 via SMS.
- Phone number: The phone number you used during your registration.
- Good internet connection: For any online method you want to use to check your score.
- Airtime balance: For using the sms method to check your score.
