Akmodel Group MD Odegade has called for a collective action after the Kebbi kidnapping and the Kwara Church attack.
Newsone Nigeria reports that the Akmodel Group Managing Director, Builder (Dr.) Abdulhakeem Odegade has expressed strong concern regarding the recent security breaches in Kebbi and Kwara States. He described the incidents as deeply troubling developments that highlight the urgent need for strengthened safety measures across the country.
In Kebbi State, 25 students of Government Girls Comprehensive Secondary School, Maga, were abducted following an attack by armed men, during which the school’s Vice Principal, Hassan Yakubu Makuku, was killed. In Kwara State, a parish of the Christ Apostolic Church was violently attacked during a service, with footage of the incident circulating online.
Dr. Odegade noted that such events disrupt national stability and undermine public confidence.
“These incidents are a serious reminder of the increasing threats facing our communities. The protection of citizens – especially children and worshippers – must be treated as a national priority,” he stated.
He called for coordinated action between security agencies, government bodies, and local communities to ensure a swift response to the Kebbi abduction and to prevent similar occurrences.
“We encourage security operatives to intensify ongoing efforts toward the safe recovery of the abducted students, and we urge members of the public to provide credible information that may support these efforts,” he said.
The Akmodel Group MD extended the company’s condolences to the families affected by the Kwara church attack and expressed hope for improved security outcomes.
“Our thoughts are with the bereaved families, and we remain hopeful for the safe return of the abducted students. Akmodel Group stands in support of initiatives that promote safety, stability, and national peace,” he concluded.
