President Tinubu says he has ordered the military, police, and DSS to hunt down terrorists.
Newsone Nigeria reports that President Bola Tinubu has directed the Minister of Defence, the Chief of Defence Staff, the Service Chiefs, the Inspector-General of Police, and the Director-General of the Department of State Services, DSS to track down and apprehend the perpetrators of the Kasuwan Daji attack, ensuring they are swiftly brought to justice.
This online news platform understands that the directive by the President was contained in a statement issued on Sunday, 4 January 2026, by Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser on Information and Strategy to the President.
Newsone had reported that terrorists launched a deadly attack in a village market in Kabe District, Borgu Local Government Area of Niger State on Sunday, killing nearly 40 persons. Several others were abducted during the attack.
Reacting to the Niger attack in his statement, President Tinubu also directed the security agencies to rescue all the abducted victims urgently.
“These terrorists have tested the resolve of our country and its people. They must, therefore, face the full consequences of their criminal actions. No matter who they are or what their intent is, they must be hunted down. They, and all those who aid, abet, or enable them in any form, will be caught and brought to justice,” the President declared.
