Nigeria Records 490 Coronavirus Cases, See Breakdown For Each State

Nigeria has recorded new Coronavirus cases with the NCDC announcing 490 new cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria.

NewsOne Nigeria reports that the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirmed 490 new Coronavirus cases in a tweet on the micro-blogging site, Twitter on Tuesday evening, June 16.

This burgeoning online news platform understands that the NCDC noted that of the 490 COVID-19 cases recorded on Tuesday evening, 149 were detected in Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial city, FCT-60 Bayelsa-54 Rivers-39 Delta-37 Oyo-30 Kaduna-26 Imo-23 Enugu-19 Kwara-17 Gombe-11 Ondo-10 Bauchi-8 Ogun-7 Borno-6 Benue-1, northcentral Nigeria.

The NCDC tweeted: “490 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Lagos-142 FCT-60 Bayelsa-54 Rivers-39 Delta-37 Oyo-30 Kaduna-26 Imo-23 Enugu-19 Kwara-17 Gombe-11 Ondo-10 Bauchi-8 Ogun-7 Borno-6 Benue-1 17,148 confirmed 5,623 discharged 455 deaths,” the tweet added.

Meanwhile, NewsOne Nigeria reports that the development means that Nigeria’s total confirmed cases of coronavirus have risen to seventeen thousand and one hundred and forty-eight (17,148) with five thousand, six hundred and twenty-three (5,623) people discharged and four hundred and fifty-five (455) deaths recorded so far.
