This burgeoning online news platform understands that the NCDC noted that of the 684 COVID-19 cases recorded on Friday evening, 259 were detected in Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial city, Oyo-76 Katsina-69 Delta-66 Rivers-46 Ogun-23 Edo-22 Osun-22 Ebonyi-21 FCT-20 Kaduna-16 Ondo-10 Imo-9 Abia-9 Gombe-5 Plateau-4 Bauchi-4 Ekiti-2 Anambra-1, southeast Nigeria.
The NCDC tweeted: “684 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Lagos-259 Oyo-76 Katsina-69 Delta-66 Rivers-46 Ogun-23 Edo-22 Osun-22 Ebonyi-21 FCT-20 Kaduna-16 Ondo-10 Imo-9 Abia-9 Gombe-5 Plateau-4 Bauchi-4 Ekiti-2 Anambra-1 23,298 confirmed 8,253 discharged 554 deaths,” the tweet added.
Meanwhile, NewsOne Nigeria reports that the development means that Nigeria’s total confirmed cases of coronavirus have risen to twenty-three thousand, two hundred and ninety-eight (23,298) with eight thousand, two hundred and fifty-three (8,253) people discharged and five hundred and fifty-four (554) deaths recorded so far.
