Nigeria has recorded new Coronavirus cases with the NCDC announcing 779  new cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria.

NewsOne Nigeria reports that the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirmed 779 new Coronavirus cases in a tweet on the micro-blogging site, Twitter on Saturday evening, June 27.

This burgeoning online news platform understands that the NCDC noted that of the 779 COVID-19 cases recorded on Saturday evening, 285 were detected in Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial city, Rivers-68 FCT-60 Edo-60 Enugu-56 Delta-47 Ebonyi-42 Oyo-41 Kaduna-19 Ogun-18 Ondo-16 Imo-12 Sokoto-11 Borno-9 Nasarawa-8 Abia-5 Gombe-5 Kebbi-5 Kano-4 Yobe-3 Ekiti-3 Osun-2, southwest Nigeria.

The NCDC tweeted: “779 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Lagos-285 Rivers-68 FCT-60 Edo-60 Enugu-56 Delta-47 Ebonyi-42 Oyo-41 Kaduna-19 Ogun-18 Ondo-16 Imo-12 Sokoto-11 Borno-9 Nasarawa-8 Abia-5 Gombe-5 Kebbi-5 Kano-4 Yobe-3 Ekiti-3 Osun-2 24,077 confirmed 8,625 discharged 558 deaths,” the tweet added.

Meanwhile, NewsOne Nigeria reports that the development means that Nigeria’s total confirmed cases of coronavirus have risen to twenty-four thousand and seventy-seven (24,077) with eight thousand, six hundred and twenty-five (8,625) people discharged and five hundred and fifty-eight (558) deaths recorded so far.
