Aisha Makes Fresh Revelation About Boko Haram Under Jonathan, Buhari’s Election

No Local Government in Nigeria was under the control of Boko Haram before President Muhammadu Buhari came into power in 2015, Aisha Yesufu, the co-convener of Bring Back Our Girls (BBOG) campaign, has said.

YaahooJournalist reports that Aisha made this clarification on the micro-blogging site, Twitter, in response to claims by the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nigeria’s ruling party, that 14 Local Government Areas (LGAs) were under Boko Haram control towards the end of President Goodluck Jonathan‘s tenure.

Aisha maintained that the claim was a “big fat lie” and a propaganda initiated by Buharists who were eager to bring the former Major General into power at the time, noting that President Jonathan recovered all the LGAs under Boko Haram control before Buhari was sworn in as Nigeria’s President.

“When GEJ postponed election by 6 weeks the military started attacking Boko Haram and reclaiming the territories and freeing abductees. This was the decider for me to vote GMB in 2015. I couldn’t believe GEJ knew what to do and yet did nothing while citizens were killed!

“By the time this incompetent, clueless, inept and failure #ICIF General Buhari @MBuhari was sworn in on May 29th 2015 territories had been recovered and thousands of abductees freed.

“The war against Boko Haram continued progressively until the Nigerian heroes that were winning the war started being killed in battle mysteriously. Col Abu Ali was one of them when Col Abu Ali was brought to Abuja to be buried, the incompetent, clueless, inept and failure #ICIF General Buhari @MBuhari showed his heartlessness and lack of empathy and went to Edo State to canvass for vote at a rally.
