Newsone reports that Nigeria’s Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Akpabio, has been urged to contest the 2023 presidential election.
This online news platform understands that Professor Gbenga Ibileye, the Dean, School of Postgraduate Studies, Federal University in Lokoja, Kogi State, made the call while reviewing the maiden edition of a magazine ‘The National Interest’ at the Mambayya House in Kano on Sunday.
Professor Gbenga Ibileye said: “As far as all the qualities of leadership are concerned, Akpabio is competent, capable, honest and truthful enough. He is not too young to run and not too old to lead.
“I, therefore, use this avenue, as a matter of fact, to urge him to answer our call and contest for the seat of president in 2023.”
Newsone Nigeria reports that the don said Akpabio is one of the unifiers of the nation and can tackle all the challenges facing the country if given the mandate.
