Andrew Dunbar death is the talk of the town in the movie industry. The Game of Thrones actor was said to have suddenly died in Belfast, Capital of Northern Ireland, on Christmas Eve.

YaahooJournalist reports that Andrew Dunbar, who worked as a body double for Theon Greyjoy actor Alfie Allen, reportedly died at his home in Belfast on 23 December. He was in his thirties.

Game of Thrones actor Andrew Dunbar died suddenly in his home on Christmas Eve. His death is not being treated as suspicious.

Police have said that the sudden death of Game of Thrones actor Andrew Dunbar is not being treated as suspicious.

A police spokesman said the force attended the scene and the ‘death is not being treated as suspicious’. A post-mortem has also taken place to establish the cause of death.

Tributes pour in for Andrew Dunbar, Game of Thrones actor

The head of Crowd Makeup on the hit HBO show, Pamela Smyth, told Belfast Live: “Even among the thousands of extras that came through the crowd room on Thrones – Andrew always stood out.”

Dunbar’s co-star and friend Andy McClay said: “Everyone always wanted Andrew. There was just something about him that was special.

“People always felt good around him, happy, excited for the day’s work and there was always a lot of fun when he was around.” 

McClay has described his friend as a ‘kind and decent man’ who was a ‘talent’ and had a ‘good heart’.

‘His DJ sets were amazing and when he did one set for Game of Thrones, he ended up doing them all for the end of season parties,’ he told Belfast Live.

A spokesperson for The Extras Dept said: “To say we are shocked and saddened at the passing of Andrew Dunbar is an understatement. ‘We have so many fond memories of the years Andrew worked with us.

“He was so versatile we could cast him in anything, he was such a talented performer he would always end up being featured, and he was so adored that he was always requested by productions again and again.”

“But most of all he’ll be remembered by his kind soul and infectious personality,” the spokesperson for The Extras Dept said. “Thank you for all you did for us, Andrew. We will miss you dearly.”

As well as Game of Thrones, Dunbar also appeared as an extra on shows including Line of Duty, Derry Girls, and Krypton. 

Meanwhile, Alfie Allen has said he is “shocked and saddened” after learning of the death of his Game of Thrones double, Andrew Dunbar.

Allen wrote on Instagram: “Andrew was an actor who was also a stand-in as Theon on GoT. Extremely shocked and saddened to hear of his passing. 

“To lose a loved one so young, I can only imagine what his family are going through. RIP Andrew xxx.”
