APC Speaks On Zoning 2023 Presidency To The South

APC has commended the court over judgment on President Buhari’s aide.

NewsOne Nigeria reports that the Ekiti State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nigeria’s ruling party, has commended the judgment of the Federal High Court in Abuja, the nation’s capital for dismissing a case brought before it by Babafemi Ojudu and other members.

Ojudu, a Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on Political Matters and some aggrieved APC chieftains had challenged the constitution of the Ekiti APC executive committee, however, delivering judgment on Thursday, the Federal High Court dismissed the case brought before it.

Reacting to the judgment,  Ade Ajayi, the spokesperson of the APC in Ekiti, said the ruling would deepen democracy in the State and the country.

“While the decision of the Federal High Court vindicates our stand that our Exco has always been overboard in all our dealings in the past, we shall remain committed in our determination to continue to rule Ekiti state.

“We remain a family and indivisible one, a sign for the opposition to continue to remain dormant and lick its wounds for ever in Ekiti politics”, he opined.

The judgment is coming after the Ekiti APC had been factionalized with one part loyal to Babafemi Ojudu and the other faction loyal to Governor Kayode Fayemi.

Governor Fayemi-led faction had recently suspended Ojodu. APC said it acted on the report of the Hon. Sola Ajigbolamu-led disciplinary committee set up to probe Ojudu and others for alleged anti-party activities.

Others who were suspended alongside Ojudu are Akin Akomolafe, Bamigboye Adegoroye, Wole Oluyede, Olusoga Owoeye, Dele Afolabi, Engr Ayo Ajibade, Hon. Oyetunde Ojo, Hon Femi Adeleye, Bunmi Ogunleye, and Toyin Oluwasola.
