APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje, has resigned.

Newsone Nigeria reports that the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has reportedly resigned from his position.

This online news platform understands that Ganduje, a former Governor of Kano State, cited health reasons for his decision, stating that he needs to focus on his well-being.

Ganduje’s resignation is with immediate effect, according to a post on the micro-blogging site, X formerly known as Twitter, by Bashir Ahmad, a former media aide to ex-President Muhammadu Buhari, on Friday, June 27, 2025.

Ahmad wrote: “The National Chairman of our great party, the All Progressives Congress(APC), Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has resigned from his position, effective immediately, as confirmed by multiple sources.

“The former National Chairman of our party would be succeeded in acting capacity by one of the party’s national vice chairmen until a substantive chairman is elected at the national convention scheduled for December 2025,” he wrote.

Meanwhile, Newsone reports that Ganduje’s tenure as APC National Chairman has been marked by controversy.
