Biafra: Peter Obi Explodes Over Killing of 21 IPOB Members In Enugu
Peter Obi has condemned the gruesome killing of 21 IPOB members.
NewsOne Nigeria reports that officials of the Department of State Services (DSS) clashed with members of the pro-Biafra group in Emene community primary school, Enugu state on Sunday. The clash in its wake left 21 IPOB members as well as two DSS operatives dead.
Displeased with the gruesome killing of the 21 members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Obi, a former Governor of Anambra State, southeast Nigeria and the 2019 Vice Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), took to the micro-blogging site, Twitter to lament over the killing off of the 21 IPOB members, saying that “recent killing of unarmed youths in Enugu is condemnable, just as the senseless killing of Nigerians in any part of the country.”
Peter Obi said in the tweet on Saturday, that he joins well-meaning Nigerians in calling for a panel of inquiry to be set up by the Federal Government led by President Muhammadu Buhari to “unravel the circumstances surrounding the killing to avoid such recklessness in the future.”
