South East Governors are in a crucial meeting with Wike over IPOB.
NewsOne Nigeria reports that South East Governors led by Dave Umahi of Ebonyi state, southeast Nigeria, arrived the Rivers State government House in Port Harcourt, the state capital on Sunday evening, November 8 to meet with Governor Nyesom Wike.
The meeting, it was gathered, is reportedly in connection to the recent spate of killings in Oyigbo Local Government Area of the State which members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), a secessionist group led by Nnamdi Kanu have been accused of being responsible for the deaths.
The meeting is coming after the Nigerian Army launched an operation in Oyigbo to fish out IPOB members and retrieve over 50 AK47 rifles reportedly stolen by members of the secessionist group after reportedly killing six soldiers and four policemen.
