A breakdown of the N29.48m monthly earnings of the senators of the 9th Nigerian Senate has been made public.

YaahooJournalist understands that the Nigerian senators of the 9th Senate receive a mouth-watering N29.48m monthly as legislators.

A breakdown of the senators’ earnings showed that the senators receive N7.45m as a furniture allowance and receive N9.94m as a motor vehicle allowance, which is the highest fee on the breakdown of the senators’ earnings.

The senators receive N2.48m as a basic salary, this is in addition to the constituency allowance of N4.97m and N1.24m as a hardship allowance and also N1.24m as a newspaper allowance, according to the breakdown of the earnings.

Here is the breakdown of Senators’ Earnings…

Basic Salary – N2.48m

Hardship Allowance – N1.24m

Constituency Allowance – N4.97m

Furniture Allowance – N7.45m

Newspaper Allowance – N1.24m

Wardrobe Allowance – N621,000

Recess Allowance – N248,000

Accommodation – N4.97m

Utilities – N828,000

Entertainment – N828,000

Personal Assistant – N621,000

Vehicle Maintenance Allowance – N1.86m

Leave Allowance – N248K

Severance Gratuity – N1.86m

Motor Vehicle Allowance – N9.94m

Total = N29.48m Monthly.

The revelation is coming two months after the 9th Nigerian Senate was inaugurated on June 11, 2019, with the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) having the majority number of senators and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Nigeria’s main opposition party, coming behind.
