DSS Arrests New Naira Notes Sellers, Fingers Nigerian Bank Officials

48 hour ultimatum has been issued to DSS and Nigeria Police.

Newsone understands that the leadership of the Delta State Axis of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), has issued a 48-hour ultimatum to the Department of State Services, Nigeria Police Force and relevant Security agencies, to fish out the killers and kidnappers of Delta State University, Abraka students.

This online news platform understands that a statement sighted on Focus Naija, says the Delta State NANS leadership decried the ugly development where a 400-level student of Medical Biochemistry identified as Stephen Odje was allegedly murdered in cold blood.

In the statement, NANS also cited the kidnapping of a 400-level students of Pharmacology and Geology, Hamza Hussien Jennifer and Mr Omajuwa Divine respectively, describing same as heartbreaking.

While condoling with the management over the demise of a scholar, Newsone understands that NANS charged the institution to immediately beef up security architecture within the campus to stem off any future occurrence.

The statement on DSS by NANS reads in full;

NANS DTS LEADERSHIP CONDEMNS THE GRUESOME MURDER, MAIMING AND KIDNAP OF DELSU STUDENTS.

The Leadership of National Association Of Nigerian Students Joint Campus Committee Delta State Axis was inundated by recent ugly development in the Delta State University Abraka, where a 400 Level Student of Medical Biochemistry identified as Mr Stephen Odje was allegedly murdered in cold blood alongside the kidnap of Miss Hamza Hussien Jennifer, a 400 Level Student of Pharmacology Department and Mr Omajuwa Divine, a 400 Level Student of Geology Department.

This recent ugly Development which we term heartbreaking to the entire Students Community is a signal that the entire Nation is unsafe, just as we wish to send our heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased Student, the Management and Students Community of Delta State University on the loss of a scholar.

We wish to reiterate our stance as Students Leadership in Delta State that this trend of kidnapping and maiming of our students shall not be tolerated. We issue a 48-Hour ultimatum to the Department Of State Security DSS, Nigerian Police Force and all relevant Security Agencies to immediately swing into actions to fish out the culprit of this unjust act on the students Community inorder to deliver justice.

We call upon all Management of Higher Institutions of learning to immediately beef up security architecture within campuses to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
