Newsone reports that crisis has hit the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nigeria’s ruling party, following the announcement of Ahmed Lawan, the President of the Nigerian Senate, as consensus presidential aspirant by the national chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu.

This online news platform understands that Adamu announced Ahmed Lawan as APC Consensus Candidate at the meeting of the APC National Working Committee (NWC) on Monday, June 6, 2022, in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.

Meanwhile, Newsone Nigeria reports that other aspirants including Vice President Yemi Osinbajo; Dr. Kayode Fayemi, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, and David Umahi, among others will, however, be allowed to contest the APC Presidential Primary at the convention holding tomorrow, Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at the Eagle Square, Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.
