Bandits Abduct School Children in Nasarawa State

Bandits have abducted school children in Nasarawa state.

The Nasarawa State Police Command has confirmed the abduction of some pupils of LGEA Primary School, Alwaza, Alwaza community, Doma local government area of the state in the early hours of Friday.

This online news platform understands that the state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Rahman Nansel, who confirmed the incident, said already, a joint team of Police, military and vigilante men have been mobilised and dispatched on the trail of the abductors, reported to be on motorcycles.

A report sighted on DAILY POST by Newsone Nigeria, quoted a source who also confirmed that the attack happened in the early hours of Friday.

The source said an unspecified number of primary school pupils were taken away in the attack after the bandits reportedly laid siege while the children were reporting to school.

The source said the whereabouts of the pupils and their abductors are still unknown at the moment but also confirmed that security personnel have been dispatched to ensure the pupils are rescued from the hands of their abductors safely.
