BREAKING: Biafra Activist Simon Ekpa Arrested By Interpol In Finland [Video]

Simon Ekpa arrested in Finland.

Biafra activist Simon Ekpa arrested by Interpol in Finland, Newsone reports.

Newsone reports that Finland authorities on Thursday, February 23, 2023, arrested a man said to be a popular Nigerian separatist agitator, Simon Ekpa.

According to a Finland news outlet HS, the Finland police escorted the Biafra activist out of his apartment in Lahti.

The platform claimed that they had gone to Simon Ekpa’s residence for an interview but to their surprise, the Finland police, KRP, answered when the HS team rang the separatist bell.

The HS said the KRP prevented their team from entering Biafra activist Simon Ekpa’s apartment and said the interview would be moved “to the future”.

Meanwhile, as of the time of this report, Newsone Nigeria cannot independently confirm Simon Ekpa’s arrest. However, a Nigerian in Finland confirmed his arrest in a video making waves on the micro-blogging site, Twitter on Thursday.

Before his arrest, Simon Ekpa had been calling for a boycott of the 2023 election in the southeast. The call came at a time the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) had since declared a Monday sit-at-home to push for the release of its leader, Nnamdi Kanu. Simon Ekpa took over the broadcast on Radio Biafra from Nnamdi Kanu after the latter was arrested by the Nigerian government led by President Muhammadu Buhari.
