Boko Haram Explosion Hits Gamboru In Borno, Children, Women Killed

An explosion, which is believed to have been masterminded by Boko Haram has rocked Gamboru Ngala local government in Borno State, northeast Nigeria, killing several people, mainly women, and children.

YaahooJournalist gathered that the explosives were said to have been planted close to a bridge between Nigeria and Cameroon border.

A report by DAILY POST quoted traders to have said that the bomb exploded during routine security checks on people, who are coming out of the market.

Boko Haram Explosion

An eyewitness, Alhaji Tahir Mamman, who spoke with the online news platform, said he cannot ascertain the number of casualties.

“Today is the market day. The bomb incident happened at 3 O’clock when the people were returning home.

“A lot of women and children have been killed. May God Almighty bring an end to our predicaments,” Tahir said.

Meanwhile, the Nigerian military was yet to issue a statement regarding the bomb explosion at the time of filing this report.
