Bola Tinubu has endorsed Governor Sanwo-Olu’s second term.
Newsone reports that the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former governor of Lagos State, Bola Tinubu on Friday, May 6, 2022, endorsed the current governor of the state, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and his deputy, Obafemi Hamzat, for a second term in office.
This online news platform understands that Sanwo-Olu’s endorsement as Lagos governor for a second term by Bola Tinubu was disclosed in a terse statement issued on Friday on the micro-blogging site, Twitter, by Gboyega Akosile, the Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to the Lagos State Governor.
“Asiwaju @officialABAT officially endorsed Governor @jidesanwoolu and deputy @drobafemihamzat for second term,” Gboyega Akosila, who is Sanwo-Olu’s chief press secretary tweeted on Friday along with a video of the APC National Leader raising the hands of the governor and his deputy.

Meanwhile, Newsone Nigeria reports that the endorsement of Governor Sanwo-Olu by Bola Tinubu should put to rest the speculations on social media that Tinubu told Sanwo-Olu he should forget about the second term as he had switched his support for a former Permanent Secretary in the Lagos State Civil Service, Mustapha Olorunfemi.
