Chelsea thrashed PSG on Sunday afternoon to win the FIFA World Club Cup 2025.
Newsone Nigeria reports that the 2025 UEFA Conference League champions, Chelsea Football Club of England, defeated European champions, Paris Saint-Germain Football Club of France, on Sunday, July 13, 2025, to lift the FIFA World Club Cup 2025.
Cole Palmer opened the scoring for Enzo Meresca‘s team in the 22nd minute to give Chelsea a 1-0 lead. The English playmaker added another 8 minutes later to make it 2-0 for The Blues.
Chelsea’s new signing from Brighton, Jaoa Pedro, continued his impressive form from the last game against Fluminense FC of Brazil (his boyhood club) as he scored the third goal by tipping the ball over PSG’s goalkeeper. Gianluigi Donnarumma on the 43rd minute to end the first half 3-0 in favour of Chelsea.
The win means Chelsea, who came into the FIFA Club World Cup final as underdogs, are champions of the world.
