BREAKING: Coronavirus In Nigeria Rises To 89, Benue Records First Case

Coronavirus in Nigeria has risen to 89 with the confirmation of 8 new cases by the NCDC.

NewsOne Nigeria reports that the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced eight confirmed cases of Coronavirus (Covid-19), increasing the total number to 89 in Nigeria.

This burgeoning online news platform understands that of the eight new cases announced by the NCDC.seven were found in Lagos and one in Benue State, north-central Nigeria.

Giving an update on the spread of the disease, Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) tweeted: “8 new cases of #COVID19 have been reported in Nigeria, 7 in Lagos and 1 in Benue State.

“As at 04:00 pm 28th March, there are 89 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria with 1 death.

“As at 04:00 pm 28th March, there are 89 confirmed cases 1 death For a breakdown of cases by states in real-time, please see http://covid19.ncdc.gov.ng Currently; Lagos- 59 FCT- 14 Ogun- 3 Enugu- 2 Ekiti- 1 Oyo- 3 Edo- 2 Bauchi- 2 Osun-1 Rivers-1 Benue- 1,” the tweet added.
