Senator Biobarakuma Degi-Eremienyo, the All Progressives Congress (APC) Deputy governorship candidate for the Bayelsa governorship election has been disqualified for the forthcoming Guber poll.

YaahooJournalist reports that a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital, disqualified the APC Deputy governorship candidate in the November 16 governorship election in Bayelsa State, South-south Nigeria on Tuesday.

Justice Inyang Ekwo who gave the judgment, held that Senator Degi-Eremienyo gave false information in his CF0001 form submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to contest the election.

The judge said he found no nexus in the name on his school-leaving certificate, first degree (BA), Master’s and the affidavits he swore.

YaahooJournalist understands that the presiding judge held that all the documents the APC deputy governorship candidate submitted bore different names.

Justice Ekwo then proceeded to disqualify Degi-Eremienyo on the ground that he provided false information to the electoral umpire to stand for the election.

Meanwhile, the APC and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) are the main political parties in the election which will hold this week Saturday.
