EFCC Chairman Slumps After Speech In Abuja [Video/Photos]
EFCC Chairman has slumped.
Newsone reports that the Chairman of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Abdulrasheed Bawa, slumped into a chair after abruptly ending his speech in Aso-rock, Abuja, the nation’s capital on Thursday, September 16, 2021.
This online news platform understands that the EFCC Chairman was delivering a speech at an event by the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) when he suddenly stopped, his face grimaced in pain before stepping off the podium towards his chair.
The EFCC Chairman immediately slumped into the chair as other attendees rushed to help him.
Newsone reports that the EFCC Chairman Bawa was giving his goodwill message at the National Identity Day celebration when he suddenly stopped speaking.
Bawa was talking about a man the commission arrested in Ibadan, Oyo state, with 116 SIM cards when the incident happened.
The EFCC Chairman had stopped talking and covered his face with his right palm, saying, “Please, excuse me, I can’t continue.”
Bawa was assisted to his seat by the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr Isa Ali Pantami and other senior officials at the event, but the anti-graft czar slumped on his seat he was immediately rushed out of the seat of power.
The Master of Ceremony (MC) later announced that the Bawa’s condition was stable. “I am happy to announce to you that the EFCC Chairman is now stable,” he said.
Meanwhile, Newsone Nigeria reports that the EFCC chairman and those who rushed him out are yet to return to the hall as at time of filing this report.
