Finally, Atiku Unveils Running Mate For 2023 Election, Makes Demands
Atiku has unveiled his running mate for the 2023 election.
Newsone reports that former Nigerian Vice President and candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the 2023 election, Atiku Abubakar, has finally unveiled Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State, southern Nigeria as his running mate.
This online news platform understands that Atiku unveiled Governor Okowa as his running mate for the 2023 election at the PDP headquarters in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital on Thursday, June 16, 2022.
Before Okowa’s emergence as Atiku’s running mate (Atiku VP) for the 2023 election, Newsone Nigeria reports that the Delta State Governor and Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State were initially pencilled down for the role of Atiku’s running mate.
Speaking during the unveiling on Thursday afternoon, the former Vice President said his running mate must be able to speak his mind freely, adding that Okowa must be ready to work with him at all times.
Taking to the micro-blogging site, Twitter, to announce his running mate, Atiku tweeted: “I am delighted to announce Governor @IAOkowa as my Vice Presidential candidate. I look forward to travelling our great country together, engaging with all Nigerians, and building a shared future of peace, unity, and prosperity for all. As One We Can Get It Done. #OneNigeria.”
