A former Nigerian governor is dead.
Newsone Nigeria reports that a former governor of Oyo State, southwest Nigeria, Dr Victor Omololu Olunloyo is dead.
This online news platform understands that Olunloyo, the father of controversial Nigerian journalist Kemi Omololu-Olunloyo, died in the early hours of Sunday, April 6, 2025.
Olunloyo, the first person to rule Ibadan as governor, died about three months before his 90th birthday.
The source close to the family noted that the family will soon announce the burial plans.
Meanwhile, Newsone reports that Olunloyo ruled the old Oyo State between October and December 1983.
