Governor Ortom aide has been shot dead.

Newsone reports that unknown gunmen have killed AIG Christopher Dega (Rtd), Senior Special Assistant to Benue Governor Samuel Ortom on Security.

This online news platform understands that Governor Ortom aide was shot dead , in Jos, Plateau State Capital, northern Nigeria.

A report monitored on The Nation online by Newsone Nigeria, says Governor Ortom aide was shot in the chest several times by gunmen on Tuesday, June 2.

Before his death, Newsone reports that AIG Dega had a brilliant career in the Nigerian Police Force and was twice Commissioner of Police in Borno and Edo States.

Meanwhile, Newsone reports that late Governor Ortom aide hailed from Katsina Ala local government area in Benue state, northcentral Nigeria.
